Sarawak Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Dato Sri Huang Tiong Sii is pushing for drainage upgrades in rural Bintangor to address flooding issues. The Sarikei MP proposed funding through the Sarikei DID for drainage maintenance and improvements in areas like Jalan Sing Tung Kwong and Batu 6.5 Jalan Kelupu. On-site inspections were conducted by the Sarikei Parliamentary Service Centre team and Sarikei DID officers to assess the problems and create an action plan.
