Sarawak implementing seven urban renewal projects in phases
Seven urban renewal projects are underway in Sarawak, including Darul Hana, Sungai Bedaun (Kuching), Kampung Datu, Kemuyang (Sibu), Kampung Jelutong, Tatau extension (Bintulu), and Padang Kerbau (Miri). In Darul Hana Phases I & II, 557 of 564 houses have been allocated, with 209 units in Sungai Bedaun for additional families. Distribution is also progressing in Kampung Datu (Sibu) and Kemuyang, with allocations nearing completion. Projects in Kampung Jelutong and Tatau are expected to finish by year-end, with distribution starting in Q1 2026.
