Rasuah lebuh raya, SPRM sita RM86 juta aset mewah Tan Sri
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) seized approximately RM86 million worth of assets, including luxury residences and bank accounts, believed to belong to a highway concessionaire with the title "Tan Sri." The seizure, which also included vehicles, handbags, jewelry, luxury watches, and properties, follows an investigation into the misappropriation of sukuk funds for highway construction in the Klang Valley. The MACC identified the modus operandi as channeling funds to contractor companies owned by the Tan Sri through transactions worth hundreds of millions of ringgit. The funds were then distributed to specific companies and individuals, including the Tan Sri's accounts. The funds were allegedly used for asset purchases, gambling, and personal expenses.
