MMEA rescues 30 Indonesians after boat capsizes off Tanjung Penawar
The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) rescued 30 Indonesian passengers after their boat capsized northeast of Tanjung Penawar, Johor. Alerted by Indonesia's BASARNAS, the Johor Bahru MRSC coordinated the rescue with MMEA assets, including KM Sibuan and patrol boats. A nearby vessel, Andros Spirit, provided immediate assistance. All survivors were transferred to Indonesian authorities at the maritime border. The successful operation highlighted strong regional cooperation and MMEA's commitment to maritime safety.
