Government Moves To Tackle Poor Cellular Coverage On Highways
The Malaysian government is addressing complaints about poor cellular service on highways. Works Minister Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi announced a special meeting with the Communications Minister, MCMC, and LLM to discuss solutions. Around 50km of highways, including sections of PLUS, WCE, and LPT2, lack coverage. A special task force will be formed, critical locations identified, and highway companies consulted on solutions. Regional LLM and State MCMC will inspect power supply facilities. The MCMC will also analyze disruption frequency and provide technical support for the future MLFF system.
