The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) are procuring body cameras, prioritizing the Motorcycle Patrol Unit (URB) and Mobile Patrol Vehicle Unit (MPV). Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, stressed the importance of these cameras, stating 7,648 units have been deployed nationwide in phase one, with another 10,000 expected in phase two.
