Sarawak Chinese community leader James Wong Hua Kiong passed away at 71. Wong, survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren, was a prominent figure in Chinese community affairs and education development. He held leadership positions in various associations, including the Sarawak Chiang Hsia Huang Clan Association and Malaysia Hu Kiu Clan Council. A dedicated philanthropist, he generously supported schools and arts/culture projects. His funeral will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, in Kuching.
