Muara Tabuan industrial park factory fire fully doused after 14-hour ops
A fire at a Muara Tabuan Light Industrial Park factory in Kuching, Malaysia, was extinguished after a 14-hour operation. The fire, reported Thursday morning, was brought under control by 12:50 am Friday with no injuries. Firefighters from three stations prevented the fire's spread to neighboring factories. The blaze, believed to have originated in converted shipping containers used as worker accommodation, caused 70% damage to the factory's rear structure. The cause and total losses are still under investigation.
