Dewan Rakyat: KPM guna AI ramal murid tercicir
Malaysia's Ministry of Education Student Tracking System (SiPKPM), now integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI), can predict students at risk of dropping out. Deputy Education Minister, Wong Kah Woh, stated that SiPKPM can forecast learning and career pathways for at-risk students up to Form 5. This helps retain these students through secondary school. The system has proven effective, with 4,758 students returning to school between February and July 2024, compared to 2,708 in 2024. SiPKPM covers all school-aged children, including those in private and religious institutions, providing data analysis, heat maps of dropout locations, and school lists. A dashboard classifies students as low or high risk, enabling targeted interventions.
