MyCIF reaches out to MSMEs and entrepreneurs in Sabah
The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) held a roadshow in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, to promote equity crowdfunding (ECF) and peer-to-peer (P2P) financing for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The event, attended by around 300 participants, highlighted the Malaysia Co-Investment Fund (MyCIF), which has co-invested over RM1 billion in more than 70,000 campaigns, benefiting over 9,500 MSMEs. Sabah's Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister, Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe, officiated the event, emphasizing the importance of these alternative financing options for MSME growth.
