JPJ Launches Cashless Payment Option At Counters Nationwide
The Road Transport Department Malaysia (JPJ) has launched cashless payment options at all its counters nationwide. Accepted methods include Touch 'n Go, GrabPay, MAE, and Boost. This initiative aims to provide faster, safer, and more convenient transactions, aligning with current Malaysian lifestyles. Following a successful pilot project in Kuala Lumpur, JPJ rolled out the program nationally, training counter staff and activating over 1,000 EDC terminals. As of August 24, 2025, JPJ has recorded RM5.6 billion in cashless transactions, with RM16.6 million from e-wallets.
