Premier: Radda to drive inclusive growth, transform Rajang Delta into key economic hub
Sarawak Premier Abang Johari announced the establishment of the Rajang Delta Development Agency (Radda) to boost economic growth in the Rajang Delta region, encompassing Sarikei, Tanjung Manis, and parts of Mukah. Radda aims to facilitate effective development initiatives, create jobs, and improve living standards. Key projects in Tanjung Manis include a successful large-scale paddy cultivation project contributing to Sarawak's goal of becoming a major rice producer by 2030. Tanjung Manis is also being developed as a Halal Hub with supporting infrastructure like an airport and ports, aiming to become a leader in halal food processing. The T-MEGA master plan integrates agriculture, logistics, tourism, and green technology to maximize regional benefits.
