Run for Peace returns to Sarawak this September
Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) will host its biennial Run for Peace (RFP) in Kuching, Miri, and Sibu this September. The Kuching run is on September 7th, while Miri and Sibu's runs are on September 14th. This non-competitive event promotes unity, sustainability, and peace, encouraging participants aged 7-80 to run, walk, volunteer, or support. This year's theme, "Peace Starts with Me – ActNOW for SDGs!", highlights peacebuilding and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Eco-friendly initiatives include reusing T-shirts, using recycled materials for new ones, and eliminating medals. Participants are encouraged to bring reusable bottles and bags, with recycling stations available at all venues.
