Miti: Evidence of dumped steel imports from China, South Korea, Vietnam prompts provisional duties
Malaysia will impose provisional anti-dumping duties on galvanised iron/steel coil and sheet products from China, South Korea, and Vietnam, ranging from 3.86% to 57.90%. The government found sufficient evidence these imports were dumped at below-market prices, harming domestic producers. The duties, effective July 7, 2025, for 120 days, are implemented as bank guarantees pending a final decision by November 3, 2025. The investigation, initiated following a petition by CSC Steel Sdn Bhd, allows interested parties to submit comments until July 14, 2025.
