Program pengukuhan akidah LGBT di Kelantan sudah bermula sejak 2019
The Kelantan state government has been running a faith strengthening program for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community since 2019. The initiative, led by the Islamic Development, Dakwah, Information and Public Relations Committee, involves Islamic Family Law Division of the Kelantan Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JAHEAIK) and several NGOs. The program includes Fardhu Ain and Quranic classes, temporarily halted during the Covid-19 pandemic but resumed in June 2024. With two classes weekly, the program has four instructors and 20 LGBT participants, showing positive results with some participants improving their Quranic reading and leaving the LGBT lifestyle.
