St. Augustine's Church in Mambong, Malaysia, has been elevated to parish status within the Anglican Diocese of Kuching, marking the 49th parish in the diocese. The formal recognition, which occurred on May 24, 2024, was celebrated with a thanksgiving dinner on August 16, 2024. Bishop Danald Jute emphasized the new status as a call to deeper faith and service, urging parishioners to build God's kingdom. The Revd Jeffry Renos Nawie, Acting Vicar, highlighted the church's growth from a small congregation to a full parish.
