A woman in Cipinang Besar, Jakarta, Indonesia has lived in a Chinese cemetery for 34 years without fear. Ira, as she is known, claims familiarity with various supernatural occurrences, including encounters with snakes and spirits. Having moved between different graves within the cemetery, she considers herself the first inhabitant. She cooks in a designated area and sleeps on a folding mattress. Although her previous wooden hut was destroyed, she declined her son's offer to rebuild, believing the cemetery provides better security.
