Youth tackle conservation challenges in EERace
The Sabah Forestry Department held EERace 29: Youth Edition 3, an environmental education program, at the Rainforest Discovery Centre, Sepilok, from July 7-12. 42 participants aged 21-40, including teachers and environmental practitioners, engaged in competitive field assignments focused on sustainable natural resources, biodiversity conservation, and ecotourism, aligning with the Sabah Heart of Borneo Strategic Plan. The program highlighted the role of youth in conservation and involved tasks related to orangutan rehabilitation, coral reef restoration, and community conservation.
