The Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2025 will feature the largest-ever pavilion, facilitated by Makiplago Sdn Bhd, to connect Malaysian halal SMEs with international markets. The Makiplago Pavilion, launching at MIHAS 2025, will span over 1,240 square meters, hosting over 170 exhibitors, with a target of 50% local and 50% international participation from ASEAN and other regions. The pavilion will focus on connecting businesses through five strategic pillars, including a Port Klang trade base, physical and online retail, halal convenience stores, digital finance, and wellness services. Makiplago signed MOUs with six partners to further develop halal sector infrastructure.

Majority of Malaysians support higher cigarette taxes, Merdeka Center survey finds
