Ops Gegar in Miri nabs 40 foreigners
Forty foreign nationals were detained in Miri, Malaysia, during an immigration raid on an entertainment center. The operation, involving immigration officers and police, screened 50 individuals. Seven men and 33 women from China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines were arrested for various immigration offenses, including overstaying, lacking valid documents, and misusing social visit passes. The detainees were reportedly working at the premises. The case is being investigated under the Immigration Act 1959/63.
