PM Laos lawat Malaysia esok, bincang pelbagai isu dua hala
Laotian Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone will make his first official visit to Malaysia since his appointment in December 2022. He will meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for bilateral talks focusing on trade, investment, defense, education, renewable energy, transportation, tourism, capacity building, agriculture, and the halal industry. The leaders will also discuss regional and global developments, emphasizing ASEAN's strategic importance. This visit, ahead of the 46th ASEAN Summit, reflects the strong ties between the two nations. In 2024, bilateral trade reached RM99.7 million, with Malaysia being the fifth largest foreign investor in Laos.
