Hong Kong busts ‘upskirt’ voyeur ring, 10 arrested over 15,000 illicit images
Hong Kong police arrested ten individuals for operating online channels that distributed thousands of non-consensual intimate images, including upskirt photos and videos. Four suspects captured the images in public areas and shared them within a 9,000-member group. Over three years, approximately 15,000 images were disseminated, generating HK$4 million (RM2.2 million) through "VIP" content. The platform has been blocked, and further arrests are anticipated. Police emphasized that downloading the images constitutes complicity. Hundreds of women, including 200 students, were targeted, causing significant psychological distress.
