Tokoh wartawan Fauziah Rauf meninggal dunia
Veteran Malaysian entertainment journalist Fauziah Rauf, founder of the Malaysian Entertainment Journalists and Writers Association (WHAM), passed away at Selayang Hospital at approximately 1 a.m. She was 81. Fauziah, who suffered a fall at home a week prior leading to a head injury, is remembered as a pioneer in entertainment journalism and publishing. She founded Nilly Publication, which published magazines like PESTA and Hawa, and newspaper Pentas Dunia. She also championed Malaysian artists on the international stage, notably bringing Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza to the Voice of Asia competition in 2002.
