Eurovision 2025: Lust, opera and political tensions collide as Austria, Finland and Israel secure final spots
Austria, Israel, and Finland secured their spots in the Eurovision Song Contest final, joining the 10 qualifiers from the first semi-final. The second semi-final in Basel featured dramatic and kitsch performances, with these three countries fulfilling their predicted success. Armenia, Denmark, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, and Malta also advanced. However, Australia's Go-Jo, along with several other countries, was eliminated. Austria's JJ performed the emotional 'Wasted Love', while Finland's Erika Vikman closed the show with the provocative 'Ich Komme'.
