Wakaf mulut punca waris minta pampasan RM240,000
The An Najwan Mosque in Kampung Pegoh, Melaka, faced a potential loss of its land after heirs of the original owner claimed ownership despite a verbal waqf agreement. After over two decades of negotiations, the mosque committee, with the help of the Melaka Islamic Religious Council (MAIM), successfully purchased the 0.1093-hectare land for RM177,324.98 using public donations raised through a dedicated fund. The land is now officially registered as waqf property, resolving the long-standing dispute.
