GOF Sarawak seizes RM6.09 mln in contraband in nine operations statewide
The General Operations Force (GOF) Sarawak seized RM6.09 million worth of contraband goods, including cigarettes, alcohol, diesel, and more, in nine operations between May 5 and 11. The largest seizure, worth RM3.09 million, occurred in Miri, involving 7,400 white cigarette cartons, 3,160 'kretek' cigarettes, and 201 liquor cartons. Three individuals were arrested. Another significant seizure of RM1 million worth of cigarettes took place in Kuching. Cases are being investigated under the Customs Act, Road Transport Act, and Immigration Act.
