DRB-HICOM catat untung pra-cukai RM92.62 juta
DRB-HICOM reported a pre-tax profit of RM92.62 million for Q1 2025, a significant turnaround from the RM35.17 million pre-tax loss in Q4 2024. Improved performance across most business sectors, driven by stronger sales and cost efficiencies, contributed to this growth. Revenue reached RM4.11 billion, a slight 5% decrease compared to the same quarter last year, primarily due to lower contributions from the Automotive sector, mirroring a 7% decline in Total Industry Volume (TIV). The Group's diversified business portfolio, with notable growth in the Banking and Services sectors, offset the impact of the Automotive sector. The Banking sector recorded RM533.09 million in revenue, a 4.4% increase, while the Services sector saw an 8% rise to RM51.37 million. DRB-HICOM anticipates a lower TIV in 2025 due to weaker global outlook and reduced order backlogs.
