The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) launched a Safe Internet Campaign Tour at SK Ulu Melaka in Langkawi, targeting schools in the Northern Zone. Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil emphasized the importance of educating primary school students and parents about online safety. The campaign will expand to 28 schools in Langkawi and eventually reach over 10,200 schools nationwide by leveraging MCMC's network with NADI centres, MADANI Community groups, PTAs, and student councils. Over 1,800 participants attended the launch.
