The Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) invites local and international tourists, as well as the people of Sabah, to join the Kaamatan Festival celebrations at the end of May. The two-day festival, starting May 30th at the Hongkod Koisaan Cultural Unity Centre Penampang, will feature traditional rituals performed by Bobohizan priests, various ethnic dances like the Sumazau and Maragang, and the Sugandoi singing competition. The highlight is the crowning of the Unduk Ngadau, honoring the legendary princess Huminodun. The festival celebrates unity, tradition, and the connection between humans and nature.
