Two men were found guilty of felling the iconic Sycamore Gap tree near Hadrian's Wall in northern England. The nearly 200-year-old tree, featured in the film "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves," was deliberately cut down with a chainsaw in September 2023. The act, described by prosecutors as "mindless vandalism," also damaged part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The men, who filmed the felling, will be sentenced in July.
