UK awards Chevening scholarships to 35 Malaysians, including first Asean award recipient

35 Malaysian scholars have been awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship for postgraduate studies in the UK for the 2025/26 academic year. This includes 34 scholars pursuing one-year Master's programs and one Chevening Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. Davina Devarajan is the first Malaysian recipient of the Chevening Asean Scholarship, focusing on Environment and Sustainable Development at UCL. She aims to foster Asean collaboration on climate justice and human rights, bringing back knowledge to support Malaysia's and the region's just transition, particularly for low-income communities.
