The Ministry of Defence (Mindef) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC/SKMM) signed an agreement to develop a long-range air defence radar system for the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF/TUDM). The agreement was signed during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) by Defence Ministry secretary-general Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali and MCMC executive chairman Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din.
