The Malaysian-made Tarantula HMAV 4x4 armored vehicle, developed by Mildef International Technologies, was a major attraction at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2025 (LIMA’25). Visitors expressed pride in the local defense industry's growth, highlighting its contribution to national security and the potential for global competitiveness. The Ministry of Defence previously signed a Letter of Intent with Mildef worth RM1.88 billion for the procurement of 136 Tarantula HMAV units and related infrastructure.
