A 67-year-old Malaysian businessman lost RM5.3 million in an investment scam after clicking on an ad in the Google app. He was contacted via WhatsApp by a woman identifying herself as 'Ms Ng', who guided him through the supposed investment process. After receiving an initial return of RM24,308.48, the victim made 13 transactions totaling RM5.3 million into three different accounts. The scam was revealed when he was asked to pay various taxes to withdraw his profits. Police are investigating the case under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
