An engineer working in a West Asian country lost RM1.5 million after falling victim to a non-existent online investment scheme. Penang police chief Datuk Hamzah Ahmad said the victim filed a police report yesterday regarding the incident, which occurred in November last year. The victim was allegedly lured into the fraudulent scheme.
