A Vietnamese bride received a lavish dowry from her parents, including 100 civet cats worth nearly RM300,000, 25 gold bars, RM81,500 in cash, seven properties, and company shares worth RM49,000. The civets are valued for their role in producing Kopi Luwak and traditional medicine. The groom's family also provided a substantial dowry. The bride's father explained the gifts were intended to provide his business-graduate daughter with income-generating assets.
