Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor emphasized the government's commitment to conservation and biodiversity research with the opening of the Langom Control Centre and Research Station at Danum Valley. Funded by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, the RM5.6 million centre aligns with the Sabah Maju Jaya Development Plan. Hajiji urged continued federal support through the National Conservation Trust Fund and the 13th Malaysia Plan to ensure Danum Valley and the DaMaI rainforest remain global biodiversity treasures and leading research hubs.
