The Momogun National Congress (MNC) continues its push for official recognition of "Momogun" as the collective name for Sabah's indigenous peoples. President Tan Sri Wences Angang reiterated this commitment despite opposition from some groups, citing support from 77 indigenous NGOs. MNC awaits government action on their submitted declaration and implementation of a reformed Native Court. Angang emphasized that uniting under "Momogun" would strengthen their demographic representation, exceeding one million within Sabah's three million population. He also highlighted the ongoing efforts to address existential threats through dialogues and international collaboration, including organizing the International Indigenous Peoples' Day in Tenom.
