The Sarawak section of the Trans Borneo Highway project has been included in the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP). This RM1.5 billion project, fully funded by the federal government, will connect Kuala Baram in Miri to the Asean Bridge, passing through Tedungan, Kemas Limbang, and Pandaruan. This initiative aims to improve road connectivity in northern Sarawak. Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah also urged the Kedayan community to leverage digital tools to preserve their cultural heritage amidst rapid development.
