In Malaysia, 6,744 individuals hold the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) in Community Care and Services, while another 43,869 possess professional childcare skills, according to Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri. The government provides monthly welfare assistance to eligible caregivers of chronically ill family members, totaling RM59.6 million disbursed to 31,138 recipients as of April 2025. A National Aging Action Plan (2025-2045) and a National Senior Citizens Action Plan (2026-2030) are being developed to address the challenges of an aging population.
