Sarawak Premier Abang Johari has called on Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) to restructure its organization to better align with Sarawak's growing role in the global energy market. He requested a formal proposal from SEB's board by year-end. Speaking at the Sarawak Energy Vendor Excellence Awards, Abang Johari emphasized the need for SEB to adapt to Sarawak's expanding energy ambitions, including renewable energy production, cross-border power exports, and carbon capture and storage. He stressed the importance of a new structure to support Sarawak's long-term energy strategy as a regional supplier.
