Malaysian men's doubles pair Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, coached by Herry Iman Pierngadi, won the Thailand Open badminton tournament. They defeated Denmark's Christian Kjaer and William Kryger Boe 20-22, 21-17, 21-12 in a challenging final. Despite losing the first set, they regained focus and secured victory in the subsequent sets. Wooi Yik attributed their win to mental strength and their desire to impress their new coach. This is their second title in a month, following their win at the Badminton Asia Championships. The win earned them US$37,525.
