Six highways and 25 major roads around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor will be closed in stages for the 46th ASEAN Summit from May 23rd to 28th to facilitate the movement of foreign leaders. Rehearsals and dry runs will begin on May 18th with closures and diversions until May 22nd. Affected routes include major roads like Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Ampang, and Jalan Tun Razak, and highways such as ELITE, NKVE, Guthrie, MEX, and parts of the North-South Expressway. Closures will primarily affect access to the city center, KLIA, Subang Airport, Istana Negara, and hotels, and will occur intermittently between 8 am and 8 pm, lasting 30 to 45 minutes each.
