A couple is suspected of staging minor accidents to extort money from female drivers in quiet, narrow lanes. They intentionally cause collisions or allow themselves to be hit, then pretend to be victims and demand immediate compensation. They use psychological tactics, claiming pregnancy and the need to return home urgently. They also pressure victims by falsely claiming a police report will result in a RM300 on-the-spot fine. Three vehicles, two Hondas and a Proton, are linked to the scam. One victim, Chow, paid RM150 after a collision in Puchong. Another, Chong, paid RM500 after being hit by a Honda HR-V while making a right turn.
