Kota Belud, Sabah, will debut as a stopover in the 2024 Sail Malaysia Passage to the East, showcasing its unique Bajau heritage and community-based tourism. The rally, featuring over 31 yachts and 70 participants from 15 countries including new additions like Lebanon and Turkey, will explore Sabah's coastal and inland attractions from July 18 to September 1. Assistant Tourism Minister Datuk Joniston Bangkuai highlighted the event's role in promoting Sabah as a diverse tourism destination and boosting its appeal for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
