Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor expressed condolences on the passing of former Yang di-Pertua Negeri, Tun Ahmadshah Abdullah. Ahmadshah, who served as head of state from 2003 to 2010, passed away at KPJ Hospital. Hajiji acknowledged Ahmadshah's significant contributions to Sabah, particularly during his civil service career. A one-day official mourning period was declared with flags flown at half-mast. Ahmadshah, born in 1946, is survived by four children. His wife predeceased him in 2020.
