The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) arrested six individuals, including two Datuks, for allegedly accepting bribes totaling hundreds of thousands of ringgit. The bribes were linked to development and maintenance contracts awarded between 2021 and now. The suspects, including a government engineer, a company director, a married couple, and a contractor, were detained after giving statements at MACC headquarters. Two prime suspects allegedly solicited bribes from contractors under their supervision. Cash, vehicles, and bank accounts have been seized or frozen as part of the ongoing investigation.
