Malaysia is implementing AI-powered X-ray screenings for early lung disease detection at seven primary care facilities. This initiative is part of the National Lung Health Initiative 2025-2030, focusing on prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad highlighted a successful case where AI detected early-stage lung cancer in an asymptomatic patient, enabling timely surgery. Malaysia is also presenting a Lung Health Resolution at the 78th World Health Assembly, advocating for increased global investment and access to treatment.
