Malaysian Immigration authorities raided clinics offering cheap medical services by unqualified doctors, primarily to foreigners. A Pakistani man posing as "Dr. Maleeq" was arrested along with three Myanmar assistants, a Pakistani woman, and an Indian woman. The clinics, operating for a year, charged RM90 per patient and operated online, using the unqualified doctor for evening checkups. "Dr. Maleeq" overstayed his visa, one Myanmar woman misused her work permit, another held a UNHCR card, while the others lacked valid documents. They face charges under the Immigration Act. A Malaysian man and a Filipina woman were summoned for questioning.
