Sarawak assemblywoman Violet Yong criticized Affin Bank for depicting the Great Hornbill instead of the Rhinoceros Hornbill on its Sarawak-exclusive Kenyalang Card. Yong called it a misrepresentation of Sarawak's identity and an insult, highlighting that the Great Hornbill is not native to the state. She revealed the image was a stock photo, accusing the bank of misleading marketing. Yong also criticized GPS leaders for their silence and urged the Sarawak government to leverage its stake in Affin Bank to rectify the error. She expressed sympathy for the Sarawak Tourism Board, whose efforts to promote Sarawak's identity were undermined.
