A 40-year-old civil servant in Ipoh lost RM50,000 to an online scam after being threatened with a fake arrest warrant. Ipoh district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, said the victim received a call from an unknown number claiming her Touch 'n Go card was involved in illegal activities. Fearing arrest, she followed the scammer's instructions and transferred her money to several accounts.
